To make the tile, Holly carefully pressed flowers into wet clay to replicate the tiny details of the flowers and foliage and carefully removed them to leave a floral imprint. A fine hard plaster was then poured into the wooden frame in different sizes and left to set. The frame was later removed and clay carefully peeled away to reveal a beautiful flower cast in still life.
